For version 4.0.6, when i delete a file from the repository, the local copy file also was deleted. Is there any option to disable this, i.e. just remove the server copy but retain the local file?

Deleted the problematic repository & creat a new one with the same name. The problem disappeared. Create another repository for testing - also no problem.

Uncheck the "Recycle ..." option in DefaultAppPool & no more errors recorded until now.
I will still attempt to shrink the log file - i just hope that this action won't trigger yet another series of erros.
