URGENT: Vault is messed up -- listintg two repositories...

..and missing lots of files/folders!!! This is a pseudo-public server -- go to http://novotny.org:81/vaultservice/vaultweb (login/pass: guest) to see. There used to be only one repository showing, Aimutation. Now there are two. When I use the client it prompts me for two diffferent versions of the r...

Oren: Soon - "end of summer/early fall release" The only public info I can release right now is on a thread you've posted to - http://support.sourcegear.com/viewtopic.php?t=1186 Drat. It appeared from Dan's comment that 2.1 was slated for "late summer/early fall" while a 2.0.4 w...

ETA for 2.0.4

In order to plan for things in advance, I was wondering if you had any kind of ballpark ETA for the 2.0.4 release?

Thanks!

Can't clear working folder within Vault GUI

I'm using 2.0.3 and somehow one of the projects under the main solution had a working folder set explicitly. Now if I change the working folder for the parent, the project working folder remains unchanged. Is there a way to clear out the working folder information? I just want to set the top-most fo...

We don't have an official list of features/bug fixes that we can make public yet. We are hoping for an end of summer/early fall release containing the bug tracking tool, as well as other targeted Vault features and bug fixes. Dan, how about any upcoming releases that use a post Aug '03 version of D...

Jesse, Switching dotfuscator versions is probably not the only thing we have to do to get integration with Whidbey. We will be working on this in the next month to do determine the issues surrounding Whidbey integration, and will let you know what we find. Trust me, it is :) It's that easy. The SSC...

Thanks for the heads up. What operation are you performing when this happens? I'm surprised we haven't had reports of this before... Unfortunately, I am not at liberty to disclose yet what I am trying to do -- though it certainly is not in violation of the license agreement and does not entail reve...

Dotfuscator is generating illegal metadata - causing problem

I'm having a problem with TypeLoadExceptions with the Vault Server 2.0.2 (and 2.0.1). After contacting Microsoft, they identified the problem: The problem reported below is caused by a bug in the Dotfuscator tool (which ships, in-the-box, with Visual Studio). In a nutshell, "Source Gear Vault S...

Bug: exception when viewing history of deleted item from web

If you delete a file from the vault and then go to the vault web and select "recent checkins" and then on the file/folder that's deleted, click it... it'll give an exception saying: Server Error in '/VaultService' Application. ---------------------------------------------------------------...

I did...but that wasn't it. Things have suddenly started working again, so I'll just cross my fingers and hope it stays that way :) It appears to still be going through my proxy, but I was able to set a rule on it to bypass everything it has for the host of the vault server. I'm not sure why though ...

Okay, I've confirmed, it's the proxy that's the problem. When I disable the proxy in IE's settings, VSS Import works just fine, as does the GUI client. If the proxy is enabled, then neither works. http://support.sourcegear.com/viewtopic.php?t=103 When I added/changed the lines though in the followin...

I started from a clean Vault repository and tried again with the same results; folders were created but files were not. Here's the contents of the import log: Opening: C:\SSafeDB\srcsafe.ini User: admin VSS database open: True Connected to Vault. Logged out of the Vault Server. There are 209 files a...

Well, the ConfigPath still had a value of: C:\BuildLab\v2342\vault.config -- I forget the default, but it wasn't any path on my machine; it must be whatever the default was. The Connection string key wasn't there at all; the only thing that was there were the two templates, one for windows auth and ...
