Categories and moving item from one project to another

In our environment, we want the department managers to be able to submit their tech needs via Dragnet. As the IT Director, I want to see each of these tasks and assign them to the appropriate project. What I've done is create a project called "Unprocesed requests" and enabled external subm...

Question about merging branches

I have two branches of my code. One is the copy I compile builds from and the other one is for some contractors to work in. First, I know that when the contractors finish their project for me, I merge their branch and my branch together. However, if I make changes to my branch and want to send JUST ...

The Win2k machine checked in and out the files using the Vault. My XP machine used the VB IDE to do the GET and the Vault to do the checkout.

Linda, Thanks for the response. The exact scenario: The XP pro machine (mine) had the project file (.vbp) and checked it in. The Win2k machine (the other developer) checked the project file (.vbp) out. When they were done, they checked the project file (.vbp) back in. I then did a get latest because...

Different paths on developer machines

I am wondering about something I noticed. I use VB6 and do alot of checking in and out of files from within the IDE for VB. Recently I've started working with another developer. The path to my System32 directory is ..\Windows\System32 and their's is ..\WINNT\System32. I noticed that if I check out t...

Move item from one project to another

I inadvertantly added some items to the wrong project. Is there a way to move them to the correct project?

Thanks!

Customize time estimates?

I don't know if this is possible yet or not, but in Dragnet, I'd like to be able to edit the list of time estimates. Right now I have one hour, two hours, one day, two days, etc. I need more control over this list. My estimates range from 1 hour to 5 hours, etc. I can't do that currently with Dragne...

I ended up sharing the file with the DLL project folder. It seems like the logical thing to do.

Dan, I found that article after I posted my question and that seems to fix the automatic login feature. However, to answer your question about the time it takes, it takes about 30 seconds to a minute to get to the login screen and another 30 seconds to a minute to get into the IDE after the login. T...

Automatically log in using this profile is disabled in IDE

I use VB 6 with Vault 3.0 integrated. When I open my project, first it takes a very long time (more than 1 or 2 minutes) for the connection to be made to the Vault, but then it always shows me a login box. I am unable to select "automatically log in using this profile" because it is greyed...

"Standard Practice" advice

I have a project that contains all the files for a desktop app written in VB 6. In that project is a file called "common.cls" that is used to compile a DLL that is used on a website that integrates into the database used by the desktop app. My question is regarding the standard practice fo...
