This is not as Nant specific problem. Are you saying that when I do a GetLatest from within Visual Studio it will erase any chnages in checked out files? I would hope it would do a merge!!! Or were you just referring to GetLatest from the VaultClient? Once again, I would hope it 'smart' enough to au...

Hi Linda

Please add my vote as well. Had I not seen this post, I would have been extremely embarassed explaining why the SCC tool I recommended to a client is blowing away developer changes.

Will this be in the next release? If so, what's the timeframe?

Mitch

Weird problem with web projects in VS2003

Hi I'm having a reproducible problem that's causing me and several other developers some grief. I have a trunk/branches model set up for web projects under VS2003 SystemName\ Product\ trunk\ Product.sln ProductWeb\ <- this is the local web folder on file system Product.csproj branches\ v2.1\ Product...

It's a good idea to create a 'References' folder under the solution root, and reference from there (they will be automatically pulled into tyhe bin folder by Visual Studio if they change), and add that folder to version control.

Hi Dan What is the recommended way of working with web projects with VS2003? 1) Creating new projects (I presume the 'create blank solution' method used with VSS, still applies?) 2) Getting existing projects from SGV for the first time? I took your advice and instead of opening from VS I went to the...

Why do my working folders change after I've manually set the

I must be mssing something obvious: every time I manually set working folders, after attempting to re-create a solution from the vault (as if I were a new user getting an existing project for the first time), my working folders chnage. Grrrr!!!

Hi This is what I did in the end (as suggested): Installed on the offending server (as network service option) and pointed the DB install to my local server. Backed up and restored the local DB to production. Recreated the sgvaultuser and ran sp_change_users_login to sync user. Hopefully, all is wel...

Hi Jeff 1) Both Servers are 2000 SP3. My local one does not have a copy of SQL 2005 installed. What's the best way to enumerate all the differences? 2) Used sa account, domain account as local admin, and myself as local admin, all with no result. Both Windows account were granted db_owner permission...
