Object reference not set to an instance of an object
About a week or two ago, we upgraded our vault server and client sw to version 6. All seemed ok at the time. Recently, patches were applied to our SQL Server O/S to bring them up to date. A day ago, I created a new repository. Yesterday, I received a call from a vault user indicating that they are h...

Vault 6.0 Upgrade Question
We are going to upgrade from Vault 5.1 to 6.0. Will the upgrade simply install over the existing Vault Server version without issue? Will it pick up on all my vault repositories and settings? Is there anything I need to be aware of other than adding the new license keys? I have 23 users currently - ...

Re: Remote Version Not Updating
No difference between the checked out file and what the last on the repository is. The file does show as "edited" in Vault Client. I wonder if the file is simply having the datestamp touched on it, but no contents changing. Could this trigger an "edited" status, yet have nothing ...

Remote Version Not Updating
I have a Cognos Framework manager package in Vault, checked out to my local C: drive. There are 9 files that I need to check out. I make changes to my package, save it and close. I then go to Vault client and it shows 7 of the items edited, including the main file ending with .cpf. I choose to check...

Re: v5.1.1: rename repository - restart server or iis?
I did an "iisreset" on the server and again cleared the cache and the title is still the old repository name. We are running version 5.1.2 (19281) as well.

Re: v5.1.1: rename repository - restart server or iis?
Hi Linda, I am preparing to rename a repository and performed a test. I cleared my respositry cache through options, but my title still shows the old repository name even after closing vault client. Any other ideas on how to get the title to show correctly or where else I may find cached data? Thank...

Re: Vault and Proxy Settings
That's great news! Many will be happy. Are there any release notes or info regarding what has changed or been added?

Re: Vault and Proxy Settings
Actually, we are 5.1.1 still. Is it simply an install over 5.1.1? No other modifications should be needed?

Vault and Proxy Settings
I'd like to put in a request to change Vault client. If a proxy is set in Vault client, we cannot connect to the Vault server. The only way to change the setting is to log in to the server. Since we cannot log in, the ability to access network settings is greyed out. Our systems are locked down and ...

I have a rather interesting issue that I think is the result of me working off of 2 different workstations at 2 different locations. I have a need to work between locations. At my primary location (LOC A), I have a desktop PC. My secondary location (LOC B) has a laptop that I can use to travel elsew...

Re: Local Working Folder Issue
Thanks again. When I go tools -> Options -> Local Files -> Cache -> Delete repository cache, the problem went away.
I was worried Server B was somehow pointing to DB on A, but it is not. It is resolved, Thanks!

Re: Local Working Folder Issue
It turns out there is still an issue. Using Vault Client, I connected to Server A - SQL Server 2005 DB. I added a new folder. I feel this new folder should only appear on Server A. I exit Vault, re-launch it, connect to Server B - SQL Server 2008. This folder added on Server A is on server B. Someth...

Local Working Folder Issue
We are running Vault Client 5.1. We have migrated our vault DBs from SQL Server 2005 to 2008 (2 different servers). Server A is 2005 and server B is 2008. Currenlty, both are run in parallel until testing and migration is complete. When I attach vault client to Server B, I can see the repository and...
