jclausius:
Thanks for the info. I hope we can get it fixed soon, but until then I will tell my team to be careful when they are working on the shared files.

So... Any ideas about how we can avoid accidentally losing our changes because of this?

Ok... this is interesting. I checked out one of the shared files, and that file was the only one that showed up in my Pending Change Set. However, all of the other shared files suddenly have a "checked out" mark on their icons, even though some of them are not even the latest version of th...

I understand that all shared copies of a file are changed - that's why we have these files shared. The problem is that Visual Studio thinks they are all checked out, even though Vault says that only one is. That's what is causing the problem.

I forgot to mention that we're using Visual Studio 2003 and Vault 3.1.9.

Visual Studio acts like all shares of a file are checked out

We have a RESX file that is shared in Vault between all of the CSPROJ files that make up our product (several separate WinForms apps). These projects are all in one SLN file, so we usually have them all open in Visual Studio at once. The problem starts when we check out the RESX file in one of the p...

Can I buy additional licenses for 3.1.x?

I need to buy Vault licenses for some new employees, but we can't upgrade to 3.5 yet. Can I just use the standard order form, or do I need to do something special to get licenses for 3.1.x?

Thanks!

My vaultgetfile call looks like this: <vaultgetfile url="${vault.server}" username="${vault.username}" password="${vault.password}" repository="${vault.repository}" path="${vault.path}\BasePages" destination="${build.folder}\BasePages" /> M...

I checked the Vault directory, but the files are not there. It seems like Vault is just skipping the entire "get" process, but it's not throwing any errors. I also tried upgrading to the latest Vault client and NAnt tasks, but that did not help. Any ideas? Or should I just use the "ex...

Did you ever figure out what the problem was? I have the same problem (NAnt 0.85rc3, Vault 3.0.1, VaultNantTasks_3.0.6_0.85.rc2).

Thanks!

History bug when branching from a label

We needed to fix some bugs in a recent release, so I decided to make a branch for the bug fixes. After the release, one of the developers had checked in some changes before we remembered to create the release label. So, we went back and labelled the correct version (3373). Then, I selected that labe...

Suggestion for "Move" feature

I needed to move a folder from our project root into a sub-folder, and could not figure out how to do it. Obviously, drag-and-drop doesn't work, so I right-clicked on the folder and looked for a Move command. Delete and Rename are there, but Move is not. Then, I found a message on your site saying t...
