I looked at the history of the Target folder to see if anything had been checked in, and there was nothing since the renames were committed from the 1st Merge Wizard attempt. Is this good or bad? (I think it's good, since the merge should simply have left the changes in your pending change set. Jus...

Oh, I agree. The wizard isn't being communicative enough. I should have acknowledged that explicitly.

I suspect you are correct -- it tried to check out something which was locked by somebody else. And then it did not clean things up by undoing the checkout on all the things it had already checked out.

Is the information in the server log consistent with this theory?

Re: Vault Eclipse Plugin

Progress on our Eclipse plugin for Vault has slowed down a bit. Jeremy had to divert his attention to something urgent. We plan to be moving forward again soon. Sorry for the delay and thanks for your patience.

This capability is planned to be in Vault 4.0.

OK, I think I get it now. My opinion of your usage has upgraded from "hopelessly vulgar" to "maybe kind of weird". :)

We'll look into this.

Thanks.

I'm taking Dan's place in this conversation. :) Hopefully the disruption will be minimal. I am basically familiar with the issues here. I just want to understand the usage scenario better. Let me start by telling you my current position. I believe you have found a bug in Vault, one which I consider ...

Has the Eclipse plugin been updated recently? We were a little scared off by the alpha status of the first version we were sent. We have recently moved our entire development team to Eclipse so we're very interested in the plugin. Progress on our Eclipse plugin for Vault has slowed down a bit. Jere...

Hmmm. I believe the right answer here is "no, we don't have any suggestions". :( The unfortunate truth right now is that Solaris is not one of the platforms we are prepared to support. We need to change that, but in situations like these, it is important that we be honest about what we rea...

Did the merge branches operation seem to go fine? When it showed the list of operations to be performed for your review, did it look okay? So this merge branches operation added two folders? Is that what it was supposed to do? When you say "view details", you are using History? Does the fo...

1. What are your metrics for scalability testing (concurrent hits, hits against a LARGE baseline, etc.)? 2. Are there any SQL Server indexing or performance things that can be done to improve performance? (We are using the server license on a fast server, not MSDE or the Desktop Edition). 3. Any LA...

OK. I think I know what's wrong. The problem causes no actual harm, other than the fact that it takes an absurdly long time to do something so simple. :D I hope to get a fix into an upcoming 3.1.x maintenance release, but it would be imprudent for me to promise that just yet. This is one of those fi...

OK. I think I understand what's happening, but I'd like a bit more info. Any chance I could have the whole client log file?

If so, email me to make arrangements to transfer the file. If you compress it, it might get through as an email attachment.

Thanks.
