Vault 6.1.0 and VS 2015/2013
I'm not looking forward to the answer, but.....
We are currently running Vault 6.1.0 (531) and one of the groups we support must upgrade their VS to 2013. Does v 6.1.0 work with VS 2013 or 2015?
If not, to work with VS 2013/2015, what version of Vault would we require?
Thank you.

Re: Solution will not open in SSIS from Vault
It's not a matter of the project being added, what has been done is this: - The Vault DB was copied from an old SQL server to new. - Vault Server and Client 6.1.0.533 was installed. Everything seems to work except: - When trying to open any existing SSIS solution from SSIS using Client 6.1.0.533 it ...

Solution will not open in SSIS from Vault
We are testing Vault 6.1.0.531 install and are having a problem. Visual Studio version is 2008. I am trying to open a solution in the same manner we always do, but nothing opens.... it doesn't even appear to try to open a project. If I use File -> Open, I can get it to open. The only information is ...

Re: Dreaded Object reference not set to an instance of an ob
With the upgrade, would we need to update the license key as well or can the existing one be used?

Re: Dreaded Object reference not set to an instance of an ob
I'm working with another person here on the install, but here is the info:
MS SQL server 2008 R2 (63-bit)
Is SQL on the same server or different server? On same server.
I tried run cmd as administrator and it gave the same error message.

Dreaded Object reference not set to an instance of an object
Here is the scenario.... We currently run Vault 6.0.0 477 and want to move from an old SQL Server to a new one. Here is what we did: 1) I asked the DBA to copy the vault DBs from old to new 2) Installed IIS 7 on new 3) Installed .NET 4.0 on new When we try to install Vault 6.0.0 server we get the er...

Thank you for the reply. Could you clarify:

Do you mean latest version?

Move Vault to new SQL Server and Upgrade
Hi, We are running Vault 6.0.0 (477) right now and will be decommissioning the SQL Server it resides on. We want to move the DB to a new SQL server and upgrade to the latest Vault (I think it is 8). Can you tell us what the best way to do this in? Should we just move the DB across and then upgrade o...

Re: REQUEST - Diffing to a File from the UI
Good day. The users at my location have also expressed a desire to create a patch file from a DIFF. It appears as though it cannot be done. This is with Version 6 of Vault.
Any idea if this will be available in future releases or with an add-on to Vault?

Object reference not set to an instance of an object
About a week or two ago, we upgraded our vault server and client sw to version 6. All seemed ok at the time. Recently, patches were applied to our SQL Server O/S to bring them up to date. A day ago, I created a new repository. Yesterday, I received a call from a vault user indicating that they are h...

Vault 6.0 Upgrade Question
We are going to upgrade from Vault 5.1 to 6.0. Will the upgrade simply install over the existing Vault Server version without issue? Will it pick up on all my vault repositories and settings? Is there anything I need to be aware of other than adding the new license keys? I have 23 users currently - ...

Re: Remote Version Not Updating
No difference between the checked out file and what the last on the repository is. The file does show as "edited" in Vault Client. I wonder if the file is simply having the datestamp touched on it, but no contents changing. Could this trigger an "edited" status, yet have nothing ...
