Linda,
We're back in business but it wasn't pretty. Developer ended up removing all traces of application from IIS, working folder, cache folder, etc and then was finally to reopen from source using steps outlined in KB article posted in the forum.

Vault and VS.Net 2005 Issues
Vault server and client versions are 3.1.9 and we had this problem with 3.1.8 as well. One of our non-local developers is having an issue with Vault and VS.Net 2005. When he tries to do a get latest from VS he gets a series of errors starting with "Unable to open the web 'http://localhost/SpotB...

Hi Linda, I guess I assumed you knew I was using the latest verion :) About says Version 1.0.6.1323 I don't recall the exact steps to duplicate it but I did occur after I had made several modifications to items for one particular project. I will monitor Dragnet closely today and see if I can reprodu...

Andy, Thanks for the tip. I think I have things working now. I ran the installer again (after I remembered that I made a backup of the database) and did the uninstall with keep database and then install with update database and was able to log in and select an item without getting a 500 error. With ...

I'm having issues as well after installing the 1.0.6 upgrade. I'm getting a ton of 500 errors. According to the log the problem is: Helpers::ListItemStatusValues Index was outside the bounds of the array. I get this anytime I try to modify an item. I've downloaded the latest installer and ran it mul...

Feature Request
Figures, you folks just release 1.06 so you can't include this :). It would be nice if on the Projects At A Glance page if there were some indication next to each project name if there were new items added since the last time you logged in. Something simple would do like an asterik or [New] label. N...

Hi Dan, We haven't changed anything on the Vault Server recently, nor have I changed anything on my client setup. Today is the first time I've ever seen this error and from the server logs it looks like a SQL Exception was thrown for some reason. Below is the extract from the server log for your vie...

Vault Error
Not sure what caused it but since your help feature in Vault didn't have any information for this error I figured I'd better report it. See attached screen shot. After dismissing the dialog the log in dialog popped up and I was able to log in just fine.
Client and server are 3.18.

Web Application Project V1.0 Released
I know there's be a lot of talk about using Vault with web applications under VS.Net 2005. Recently Scott Guthrie announced the 1.0 release of Web Application Project support for VS.Net 2005. You can read more about it here: http://weblogs.asp.net/scottgu/archive/2006/05/08/445742.aspx I figured you...

Thanks Jeff, Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought when you detach 2000 database and attach to 2005 database that 2005 sets a compatibility flag indicating that the database, while running under 2005 really isn't a 2005 database. It may be no big deal - I'm just trying to ensure the best performance...

Andy, I don't know if it'll help you any but our development team has developers located in Georgia, Florida, Colorado, and California and we are all using Vault with VS.Net 2005 with great success. In fact I think Vault in 2005 works better than it does in 2003. The developers located outside of Ge...
