I've had the most success creating a web site from scratch in VS2005 and then copying in the files from a web site I've already migrated. This fixes a lot of weird issues and lets you use the ASP.NET development server to debug the page instead of IIS. If you let me know your exact steps, I will at...

Hi all, since in VS2005 a website is not a project anymore (WHY???), in VS2005, the "project's" path is instead saved in the solution file. We don't really know why Microsoft chose this new format for web projects. Regardless, you should still be able to add a web project (now referred to...

I have been unable to reproduce the issue you are reporting. Could you please confirm the steps that I performed were correct: 1. Created a project within VS 2003. 2. Converted the project to VS 2005. 3. Modified the form1.cs file to create a version 2 of the file. 4. Had another user on another mac...

The problem with Jeff appears to be resolved. After further discussion, I realized that he was continuing to open the same project from source control instead of opening the project from source control for the first time only. The problem does not exist when the project is opened using File-Open-Pro...

Have you attempted to archive and restore the file that you are having problems with?

We recently discovered a problem using the CLC on files that have been restored. Is the file successful using the VSS command line utility?

Have you attempted to run Analyze?

This takes me to the "Set Project Location" window where the "Enter Working Copy Location Here" field is blank (this is usually automatically filled in for other projects). When you refer to this dialog, do you mean the "Create local project from Vault" dialog? What ve...

2. Move files to new folder
How are you attempting to move the files to a new folder? I'm not aware of a "move" feature from within VS 2005.

Until this issue can be resolved, I have discovered a workaround. Instead of attempting to add the project to source control again, choose to bind the project under "change source control" and then check in the remaining files.

Let me know if this doesn't work appropriately for you.

I would suggest trying to use the -SOSHOME option. If the SourceOffSite home directory is specified, the Command Line Client will use the same cache file (databaseX.sos) as the GUI Client to determine file status and working directories. Specifying the SourceOffSite home directory will speed up larg...

Well, anyway, I attempted to move some files and selected the "Rename/move locally and in source control store" option.
How did you attempt to move the files? What steps did you take?

Sorry for the delay getting back to you. Can you tell me if you are able to open other web projects successfully? Does anything display in the Source Control output dialog from within VS.Net? You may want to try to unbind and rebind this project: http://support.sourcegear.com/viewtopic.php?t=1149&am...

I receive about 175MB using SOSCMD. All files are ok but in the middle there is a file sized 60MB. It takes quite long to receive the file (as ecpected) but the file does only contain HEX "00". Could you give me more details in regards to the problem that you are experiencing? Do you rece...
