Yes, all of my windows are docked, but I'm not seeing how that would affect my ability to select the Fortress Toolbar from the toolbar window or make the Fortress window selectable from the list of available windows in visual studio. Are you saying that if I undock all of my windows and move them ar...

I'm experiencing the same problem. I'm running Vista x64 and I cannot see the Fortress toolbar listed in View --> Toolbars or the Fortress window listed under the View menu.

I am able to see the Fortress Pending changes window however.

I'm having a simliar problem to this one. My user is a member of the Global admin group and I can access one of the repositories just fine, but the other one is giving me the "You have no rights to view any items in this repository." message when I try to connect. Note: the repository bloc...

I think I'd like to log a feature request that the Bug Ids be manually typed in, validated, and that you can provide a comma or space delimited list of Bug Ids that will be validated as well.

Thanks!

Yeah, but why not? If I type the Bug number isn't that the same as browsing for it?

I didn't provide a check in comment for scenario 2, but I did manually type in the Bug Id, so you would assume that Fortress would look up the Bug and provide its description as the checkin comment, the same way it does in scenario 1 when you browse for it. Also, in scenario 1, while the bug descrip...

Inconsitencies in the validation of the Commit dialog

1) Set your repository to require check-in comments 2) Make some changes to your solution, check-in 3) Next to Update Bugs, click Browse 4) Select a Fortress item, leave the option checked to Add checkin comment as Item comment 5) Check in Scenario 2: 1) Make some changes to your solution, check-in ...

I ran through that KB and tweaked the machine.config and also ran analyze on my test VSS db to ensure it was cleaned up. Unfortunately, I'm still getting the same error as before.

Anything else you'd like me to try?

Thanks,

Zack

VSS Import fails with FailObjPathInvalid

We're about to begin our transition to Fortress which will involve importing several fairly large VSS databases. Before attempting this I decided to setup a dry run with a one-off VSS database that included one solution comprised of a web application project and a class library. The import always fa...

So say you merge one project with another and new files are added, how does the change get picked up by the project? Do you have to then open the project, turn on "show all files" and start adding them manually?

1.0.6 On my setup I created a site in IIS that was rooted on another drive (M:\InetPub\fortress.<mydomain>.com). Then I selected that site when I was going through the Server installation. Afterwards, when you view the IIS setup, you'll see that it points the Fortress application root to the path on...

Default mergeable file types

I noticed that .csproj and .vbproj are not included in the default mergable file types. Is there a reason for this? Should it be avoided?

Thanks

...even if I tell it to install Fortress to a different folder on a different drive, the installer places the VaultService and VaultShadow folders on the C drive. Is there a way to prevent that? Seems like a bug to me...
