Manually Deleting Items
In some of our web applications we automagically report errors which usually works quite well. From time to time though we'll have a user that will refresh the page over and over which causes multiple (duplicate) items to be added in dragnet. I know you can go through the menus and use the delete bu...

Hi Linda, Yes, we created our own form and then call the WebService Method to add items. I'm sorry I didn't make that point clearer in the first post. We don't use the form. Regarding the KB article, yes, that's the one. Here's the specific line that should be changed: mItem.PriorityID = nPriorityID...

AddExternalItem Priority
Greetings, I found, through searching, that PriorityID is always set to Unknown when using AddExternalItem. How come? I can see defaulting it to Unknown if a priority isn't provided but why ignore it/discard it if it is provided? We allow customers to assign priority when submitting bug reports/feed...

Totally removing all traces of version control
Hi, I'm having an issue with one of our web projects. I orginally opened the project from source control using the instructions in the KB. Fwiw, this is an ASP.Net 2.0 web project using VS.Net 2005 and Vault client and server of 3.1.9.xxx. What I would like to do is totally remove any traces of the ...

Linda, Thanks again for all of your help with this issue. Our developer in FL still continues to have problems and I wanted to point something out to you. We're seeing a lot of 500 errors in the web server logs from /VaultService/VaultService.asmx and /VaultService/VaultFileUpload.aspx In a daily lo...

A slight variation would be to send emails in batches instead of every time a file changes. The process would work as follows: I watch a repositiory - hourly (or some schedule I create) Vault sends me one email with a list of off changes to the repository that have taken place since the last email. ...

IDE Feature Request
Sometimes the IDE does client does not indicate that a file has been checked out until you attempt to check it out which isn't too big of a deal. What would be nice if when you try to check out a file that is already checked out exclusively if you could include the name of the user that has the file...

Well things were working until he shut down the computer for the day :(. I spent about an hour on the phone with him last night and we enabled client logging using that Ctrl-Alt-Shift-F12 keystroke combo and will be emailing you several log files. The oddest thing is if he performs a get latest oper...
