What versions of VSS does SOS4 work with ?

For SOS 4.0, the version of the VSS client on the SOS Server machine must be VSS 6.0x.

SOS 4.0 should be able to connect to VSS 5.0 databases as long as the version of the VSS client on the SOS Server machine is VSS 6.0.

SOS 3.5.3 has versions of the SOS Server that work with either VSS 5.0 or VSS 6.0 on the server machine.

SOS uses the automation component provided by the VSS client to communicate with the SourceSafe database.
