Every request for web content is slow. Is there anything I can do to speed this up?

Web response times could be slow if there were a problem with reverse DNS on the machine where the SourceOffSite Collab Web Server is running. The SourceOffSite Collaborative Edition Web Server can optionally be set to perform reverse DNS lookups on incoming hosts. The "perform reverse DNS on inbound web client connections" option on the Web Server General tab of the SOS Collab Server Manager controls whether the reverse DNS lookups are done.

To illustrate, assume a client has IP address 192.168.10.10 and hostname client.mycompany.com, and is making a request to the Web Server. If the "perform reverse DNS on inbound web client connections" option is disabled, the Web Server will record the IP address (192.168.10.10) of the client computer in its log files. If the option is enabled, the Web Server will make a request to the DNS server(s) configured in your Windows Network Control Panel to resolve the client IP address into the client hostname. It will then record the client hostname (client.mycompany.com) in the log file.

If the DNS servers in your Windows Control Panel are misconfigured, unreachable, or on a high-latency connection, you may experience significant delays while waiting for the DNS server to return reverse DNS information for clients, or while waiting for it to timeout. If this occurs, disable the "perform reverse DNS on inbound web client connections" option on the Web Server General tab of the SOS Collab Server Manager to avoid looking up client hostnames.
