"Failed to obtain CLSID for SourceSafe" appears in the SourceOffSite Collab Primary Server log file.

This error occurs when the Visual SourceSafe 6.0 Automation component (API) does not exist on the SourceOffSite Collaborative Edition Primary Server machine.

The SOS Collab Primary Server uses the SourceSafe Automation component to communicate with the Visual SourceSafe database. Therefore, a copy of the VSS Client 6.0 needs to be installed on the SOS Collab Primary Server machine. Installing the VSS Client would install the necessary SourceSafe APIs.
