For some reason, SOS Collab Servers installer may have problems finding the SOS Collab Servers Uninstall file which is needed to uninstall the application.

You can uninstall the SOS Collab Servers manually using the following steps:

1. Stop both the SOS Collab Primary Server and the SOS Collab Web Server services in the Services Control Panel (if they still exist) and exit the Control Panel. On SOS Collab 1.1, exit the SOS Collab Service Manager in the Task tray.

2. From the command prompt, change directories to the SOS Collab Servers folder. Then run the following commands to uninstall the services:

sosce_server /u

sosce_web /u

(If step 2 does not work, delete these keys manually from the registry:

a) HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\SOSCEPrimary

b) HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\SOSCEWeb)

3. Start regedit.exe (the Registry Editor).

4. Delete the following SOS Collab Servers keys:

a) HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{AA05F778-DFA2-4CFB-AAEC-BAE0F338A95A}

b) HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SourceGear\SourceOffSite Collab Servers

5. Drop the SOS Collab database. Use the following steps on SQL Server:

a) Open the Query Analyser and login as the "sa" user.
b) Type "DROP DATABASE ggdata"
c) Press F5 or Execute to execute the command.

6. Now, delete the SOS Collab Servers folder on the Server machine. The default path is "C:\Program Files\SourceOffSite Collab Servers". (You can copy the Attachments folder to another location before this delete, if you want to keep your SOS Collab attachments intact).

7. Delete links to the SOS Collab Server Manager, SOS Collab Servers ReadMe and SOS Collab Servers Help from the Windows Start menu.

The above steps should uninstall the SOS Collab Servers.

If you need to re-install the SOS Collab Servers, you should now be able to successfully do so by running the SOS Collab Servers installer.
