The URL for my SOS server is formatted like "sos.[name].com". A client we do work for also names their server "sos.[name].com" Even though they are completely different URLs, SOS cannot handle this. From what I can tell, it's because of how SOS stores local user data under the "..\Application Data\SourceGear\SOS_COLLAB\Servers\" folder. Only the first part of the URL is stored, which results in a folder named "sos". This confuses the SOS client.
The workaround is that I must use the IP address for these servers. Is there some other fix that can be used here? I'd prefer not to use IP if possible.

(This looked like an SOS Collab issue so I moved it to the Collab forum.)
This is the first report we've had of this, but I can see where this could be a problem. I'll log it as a bug and we'll look into how we might change this for a future release. In the meantime, the only option would be to use the IP address. Linda Bauer
