Hello,

My company is evaluating SOS Collaborative. When I visited the SourceGear website, I didn't see Collab listed any longer as a product. My first question is, is that true? If we wanted to purchase Collaborative, is that no longer an option?

Assuming that the above is true, I'm thinking that we'd have to purchase SOS Classic and Dragnet. Currently, we're running Collab (server) on Windows XP. But Dragnet requires Server 2000, as does the newest version of SOS. Would we have to upgrade our server to Server 2000 to purchase SOS/Dragnet?

Finally, assuming that we did purchase SOS/Dragnet, and upgraded to Server 2000, would we be able to import our current Bug Tracker information into Dragnet even though it would be on a different server?

Feel free to call me at (805) 384-5400 ext. 212 if it's more convenient to provide the information by telephone.

Thanks,

Matt

I've answered things below...

Collab has been transformed into Dragnet. Collab will have no future releases. See http://www.sourcegear.com/faq.html##collab for more information.

Please note, people still wishing to remain on SOS Collab, you can still purchase licenses at https://store.sourcegear.com/sgstore/or ... ily=collab

Vault / Dragnet / SOS all will run on Windows XP Professional, as well as Windows 2000 Professional/Server, and Windows 2003 Server.

However, Vault / Dragnet require SQL Server 2000 or MSDE 2000 as the database back end.

Dragnet includes a Collab Import Tool - http://www.sourcegear.com/dragnet/downloads.html.

The import tool will migrate all existing Collab data into the Dragnet database.

If you have other questions, please feel free to post them here.

I'm a SOS Collab customer and would like to migrate to your other products for free as indicated in your FAQ page and in this forum thread.

The following link doesn't work though:

https://store.sourcegear.com/sgstore/dragnet_comp_collab.aspx

Can you direct me to the information I need to pursue this free migration?

This link is just an order form for more SOS Collab licenses. There is no mention of how to migrate off of SOS Collab to another product
