Focus unexpectantly moves to Solution Explorer

Post by dist0rti0n » Wed Mar 19, 2008 3:25 pm

When I edit a file in Visual Studio, Fortress will automatically check the file out. This is what I want, but for some reason it moves the focus from the text editor to the Solution Folder tree. Extremely frustrating when you're trying to quickly edit a file.

Also, when creating a new folder in the Solution Explorer, it will create the new folder and then immediately lose focus, causing the name of the folder to be NewFolder1. I've noticed that if I click Add New folder and then immediately arrow left or right, I can usually catch it before it loses focus and rename the folder.

Stats:

Fortress 1.1
Visual Studio 2005
Vista Enterprise 64bit

Any help/tips to prevent this from happening would be greatly appreciated!

In VS Tools - Options - Source Control, which client exactly are you using?

Sorry, I should have included that.

I'm using the Enhanced client.

I'm running 64-bit Vista myself, and I don't have this problem. Do you have any other Visual Studio add-ins installed?

I also run Resharper 3.1. I'm not sure what else might be causing this. What type of project (e.g. C# class library) are you working on when you see this behavior?

Typically its in a Web Application project.

I might be able to grab some video of it next week when I'm back in the office.
