Thank you for providing a free software + portable as well.

I was wondering it is possible to export the result of difference 2 way/3 way to html format just as in WYSIWYG or any other method feasible with file description options chosen etc.

Thanks

No, not currently. HTML export is on my TODO list, though.

Currently, you can print the differences (either to paper or
to a preview/file). Depending on your platform or what
third-party software you have installed, this might let you
get a PDF, for example.

For 2-way diffs, you can use the --diff command line option
and get the differences written to a file in either traditional
or unified format. The output is very similar to gnu diff.

Sorry I don't have a better anwser at this time.

Just to clarify....

DiffMerge (v3.3.0) is portable? I take it the 'program files' package (6.6mb), on the Downloads page, is the download required for portability?

I'm sorry, but I'm not sure what you're asking. DiffMerge has binary installer
packages for Windows, Mac, Ubuntu, and Fedora. On Windows, this is a .msi
package and will install everything (on either a 32- or 64-bit Windows system)
and register DiffMerge with the system.

You are free to download and install the package on any/all systems that you have.

If by "portable" you mean "Can I run it without running the installer? Or can I run
it from a thumb drive?", then yes we have that too. If you don't want to use or
can't use the installer, see the .zip version on the Downloads page (the one marked
"program files"). You can unpack this wherever and just run it. Note that it will
still update the registry with minor things (like the size/location of the last window,
the pathnames of the last few files you opened, and etc.), so it isn't truly portable
from a purist point of view, but it won't do any of the other registration stuff.

Let me know if you have more questions or concerns,
jeff
