Request: Allow rule-specific detail level

I'd love to be able to set up different detail levels for different types of files.

Could you give us some examples of how you'd use this functionality?

Yeah, that would be nice. I debated doing that at the time
but just made it global. (I was probably just being lazy...)
In hind sight, I should have made it a per-ruleset setting.

I've logged this.

thanks for the suggestion.

For example, I find that when viewing source changes, I've gotten very spoiled by the combination of "lines and characters" + complete MLILADL. But when I'm reviewing a commit list that 1+MB includes hex files, they don't like that. ;-) It actually crashed DiffMerge, trying to merge & split that much text was a bit too much, I guess. So I would probably just make the default ruleset do lines only with MLILADL disabled.
