I'm running version 3.3.0(1001) in Snow Leopard 10.6.3. I want to increase the font size in the file viewer. I click preferences, then Window Font. A font selection window flashes on & off the screen in about 1 second, not allowing me to make any selections. Any idea if this bug will be fixed?

You're right! I just tried it on my MAC and the dialog appeared briefly and then
disappeared. I'll have to take a look at this. I don't think it happened on 10.5.

In the mean time, if you want to change the font the hard way, look in
the file "~/Library/Preferences/SourceGear DiffMerge Preferences". There
should be sections for [File] and [Folder]. (If you haven't made many
changes in the preferences, they may not have been created yet; so if
not, you can just add them.)

Then immediately under each, add a Font line. Something of the form:
Font=14::Courier New

That's a point size, 2 colons, and a fixed-width font name.

If you want to affect printed output, add a similar line to the
[File/Printer] and [Folder/Printer] sections.

In all 4 cases, be careful to not add a duplicate section; if there already
is a section header, add another assignment statement underneath the
existing header.

The file format is pretty easy to edit, but if you want to make a backup
first, that would probably be a good idea. And if you really mess things
up, just delete the file and DiffMerge will create a new one the next time
it runs (but you'll loose any settings).

Hope this helps,
jeff

This is still an issue under OS 10.6.8. Any chance of a new built of DiffMerge with a fix for it?

We're currently testing a 3.3.1 release candidate that fixes that problem.
It'll be out some time this month.
