Any way to uninstall this, or do I need to blast the RTM overtop, and uninstall it. Win7 reporting that the file is locked.

Jared:

The DiffMergeShellExtension.dll would *not* have registered by default. This action would have occurred from the Diff/Merge Options for Explorer Integration.

To delete the file, you'll need to unregister it first. Start DiffMerge.exe from a command line. Go to Tools -> Options -> Explorer Integration. Click "Unregister Now", and then shut down DiffMerge.exe.

Does DiffMergeShellExtension.dll delete after this step? If not, try logging off and logging back and and then attempt to delete the file again.
