In Fortress 10.0.2.30936 we use a tag "documented" to indicate to our help authors that documentation for a feature has been completed.

Now the help authors want to remove the tag once they have done their magic, but we can't see any way to do this.

Any suggestions ?

Hello,

There is no official "delete" button or option to remove a tag but you can edit the work item/tag. When editing a work item, you can remove the context you have listed for the tag in the ticket. There is no streamlined way of accomplishing the removal of tags.

Thanks,

Tonya

We have tried removing the tag during an edit of a work item, but the tag remains. The only way we can find to get rid of it is to replace it with something else such as a space so it appears to be gone.

Please consider a better way of removing tags while editing a work item.

Hello again,

I just tested out the scenario you described and confirmed a "tag" can not be deleted by simply deleting the name of the tag, it has to be replaced by another name or spaces. I will make sure to log this as a bug to be implemented in a future release.

Sorry about the inconvenience.

I wanted to get back in touch with you in regards to a possible workaround until this bug gets resolved. You can delete a tag within the GUI Client without having to replace the tag with spaces. Perhaps this is a viable option until the fix is implemented.

Thanks for this, however the help authors only have a web licence for Fortress so have no access via the GUI client. We might however be able to make this work via some collaboration.
