Axosoft Ontime 14 Integration

Post by drobinson » Mon Mar 24, 2014 4:20 am

We recently upgraded to Vault Pro 7.1 in order to better integrate with Axosoft OnTime.

We have an OnPremise installation of OnTime 2014 (v14.0.3). I cannot find any configuration guides which detail how to configure Vault to use the OnTime API rather than the legacy SDK (deprecated since v13.3).

Any help / hints would be appreciated.

Vault Pro doesn't currently support the new OnTime Rest API, only the SDK.
I've added your "vote" feature 17526 request for this functionality.

Have you considered using the Vault Pro work item tracking? We've updated many of the features for version 7.1 and it's already included in the product at no additional cost.

Hi Linda. Thank you for a quick reply.

We are a small business and use OnTime for recording worklogs against tasks, defects, features and incidents. It won't work well for us having two disparate sources of worklog information.

I really think you should consider updating your website if Vault Pro cannot support the latest version of OnTime as it's a little misleading. You can't expect customers to use deprecated software. We upgraded specifically for the OnTime integration feature and it would seem we have wasted our money. I hope feature 17526 can be developed quickly.

Yes, we do need to update the website to make our OnTime support limits more clear.

The feature request implementation will depend on how many requests we get from OnTime users to move to the new integration.

Thanks for your vote!

It's important that we hear from our Vault users who have Axosoft Ontime. That helps us to set our priorities as we implement features in new Vault releases.
