Eclipse plugin 7.2.1.30265 installation failed

Hello...

I installed the newest server and client (7.2.1) versions and i tried to integrate the plugin with the Eclipse. I installed the newest fresh edition of Eclipse:

Version: Luna Release (4.4.0)
Build id: 20140612-0600

I updated everything from the fresh release... so my CDT version is 8.4.0 which is the newest version on the website.
And then i tried to install the plugin for Eclipse using the link "http://download-us.sourcegear.com/Vault ... est/update"... but installation failed:

I noticed that version of the plugin is a bit weird... so i chose the manual way... but again installation failed:

  Missing requirement: Vault Pro Eclipse Plugin 7.2.1.30265 (com.sourcegear.vaultpro.feature.group 7.2.1.30265) requires 'com.cdesg.core [1.0.0.30265]' but it could not be found

I can not use the plugin... can you help me with that ?

Did you download the Eclipse for Java or C++ or some other version of Eclipse?

Did you have another version of Eclipse on this machine before?

I hadn't seen this error with our software before, but I don't think there was a specific test with Luna either.

i tried everything... same issue on fresh install on the virtual machine, the newest Java, everything fresh...
i tried to install even old plugin on automatic update site (7.2.0.30233)... got error:

I guess that Eclipse plugin is not compatible with Luna edition... please check your plugin

I've reproduced the issue and have a developer on it now. Thanks for reporting this.

Fix has been coded. Uninstall the Eclipse plugin you have and try again. Then let me know your results.

I'm getting the exact same issue with the Vault 6.1 plugin + Eclipse 4.5 (Mars). Can this fix be propogated to the 6.1 plugin as well?

I'm using the repository URL http://download-us.sourcegear.com/VaultPro/6.1/update/

I don't think it would be feasible to set up the system for Vault 6.x again. We could help you get upgrade to Vault 7.2.1 or Vault 8 possibly.

I'm still having this installation issue, first with the latest Eclipse Mars, and then I tried it with Eclipse Luna (4.4.2) with no difference. Error message is:

The version it's trying to install is 7.2.1.265. That seems a little weird to me -- wouldn't .30265 be a newer version than .265?

.30265 is vault pro and .265 is vault standard.

Vault 7.2.1 is not compatible with Luna or Mars. If you install Kepler with Vault 7.2.1, it should install accordingly.
