Moving servers - Backup and Restore

I am moving the Vault server to another physical server.
I performed a backup on the current server
Installed Vault (same version 8.0) on the new server
Copied backup files from the current server to the new server
The backup files do not show up in the list to restore.
What am I missing?

Hi mark4262,

I'm not sure I follow exactly the steps you've taken so far. Can you please review and retry using the steps from this Knowledge Base article - http://support.sourcegear.com/viewtopic ... =228&p=574 ?

When it said to Restore ... I thought you could do this within the admin application. Now I see that you have to go the restore of the sql databases first, then install the vault application.
I will uninstall the Vault application and start over

Yes, the backup / restore within Vault is used within the same Vault Server. While this front-end is basically a wrapper for the SQL Server commands to make a backup, the functionality for moving takes a different set of instructions.

Please let us know if those steps in the KB article solved the issue.
