Vault Pro Work Items blank in VS2017

"Vault pro work items" window is always blank within VS2017 but works fine in the Vault Client.
New machine, Windows 7, VS 2017 Professional, Vault Pro 10.0.0, VS Extension is the source control.
All features of the VS extension work except "Vault pro work items".
any ideas? What can I check?

In the Tools - Options - Source Control - Plugins, what do you have selected?

Which operating system do you have?
