How to fix binding error? (VS2005, Vault 4.12)

Post by Tri » Thu Nov 20, 2008 1:48 pm

Hi,

Vault Server & Client = 4.12.
The issue: Cannot open a VS2005 solution which was checked in using Vault 3.5x

The developer has installed Vault client 4.12, set SCC plug in to Enhanced Client, had get latest the solution locally and tried the automatic conversion using this tool: Automatically rebinding solutions and projects: http://support.sourcegear.com/viewtopic.php?t=8214

The tool failed with the error Unsupported line [SccWebProject = true] in GlobalSoourceCodeControl of MySolution.sln

Currently he is trying the manual method suggested in http://support.sourcegear.com/viewtopic.php?t=7937

Can you please suggest a solution? In the worst case, can we unbind manually by editing solution and project files and later on do a rebind within Visual Studio? BTW, what is the manual procedure to remove all source control from solution and project file?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Issue fixed: The manual method works OK:
"Re-binding for use with the Visual Studio Enhanced Client"
