Repositories vs Folder Security

Post by samward » Tue Sep 29, 2009 1:13 am

Hi,

We are in the situation where it would seem that we are going to have to set up Vault with one repository per project (its a long story but I don't think I am going to be able to change that).

Is there any perfromance penalties / gains from having many repositories vs one large repository with folder security?? (other than an admin overhead).

Cheers
Sam

No, you shouldn't see any performance penalty. Over time, you might see a slight performance gain using several smaller repositories as opposed to a large, complex one.
