Ideal branch

Hello

I would like to know the way you thought branches should be idealy done in Vault.
There are many solutions (pin a project, branch everything, pin every file, ....) and I'm always unsure what would be best.

Is there some sample, documentation on the way you expect user to do it. It might depend on habits (Visual Source Safe as far as I'm concerned), but I'm ready to change them to have branches less painful.
