Feat. Rqst-client side option clear local repository cache

Post by jstarbird » Fri Jun 04, 2010 2:35 pm

Vault 5.0.2.18753

Not sure if this feature already exists, if so please add our vote, if not then please create one!

It would be nice to have the ability to selectively clear a local repository cache from within the client. This becomes especially useful on Vista and Windows 7 with system folders and files being hidden from users.

Thanks,
J

I'll get this logged (or add your vote if I find one already logged). Thank you for your feedback.

Would like to add an additional piece to this request. Along with clearing the cache from within the client it would be great if you could clear only a certain folder/branch rather than the entire repository. I've had several instances where someone has 1 or 2 files get corrupted and clearing their cache is the only solution but it can be time consuming to have to delete the entire thing and re-sync it.

Thanks,
J

I've added the additional details you've requested.

When you have just a few files with issues, you might try going down into the Client Side Cache and just removing the baselines first. The baselines are in the _sgvault folder.
