Best Practices - Moving Vault to New Server

Hi,

Could you point me to a document that discusses best practices/procedures for moving Vault to a new server? I didn't find anything via a quick glance in the Knowledge Base.

Here's a KB article with some details.

Note: If you're moving to a newer OS, make sure your version of Vault is compatible with that OS, as older versions of Vault do not always work with new operating systems, SQL Server versions, etc.

Thanks for the pointer to the KB article. I was hoping it would be this simple.

I'm assuming that Vault will take care of setting SQL security during the install on the new server?

Yes. The installer creates the necessary login and security settings in SQL Server.
