Add Files/Folders in Vault Client

Post by dsmith » Tue Jun 21, 2005 5:25 am

I'm using Vault cleint 3.0.7 (2863)

When I select a folder in Vault (which contains subfolders) then click the Add Files button on the toolbar, the "Add Files/Folders" dialog box shows which correctly shows my new file in the selected folder, all perfect. However, when I select any of the sub-folders in the "Add Files/Folders" dialog box all the files in these folders are listed (even though they already exist in Vault). This looks to me like a bug?

I can't reproduce this. For the files that are in Vault -- does their working directory hierarchy exactly match the folder hierarchy in the database?

Maybe a screenshot would help us see what you are seeing.

Add files adds files to the selected project. The files in the subfolder don't exist in the selected project, so they show up as files that can be added. You probably want the "Detect New Files to Add" function instead.
