History bug when branching from a label

Post by joshyeager » Wed Nov 23, 2005 2:52 pm

We needed to fix some bugs in a recent release, so I decided to make a branch for the bug fixes.

After the release, one of the developers had checked in some changes before we remembered to create the release label. So, we went back and labelled the correct version (3373). Then, I selected that label and chose to branch from it.

The weird part is what happened to the history of the new branch. For the files he checked in, we have the label on version 3, then "version 4" is the new changes, and then the real version 4 is the branch. (See the screenshot).

Why does the "version 4" from after the label appear in the branch history?

Which version of Vault are you using? I tried a very simple test case and didn't see the same thing.

We're still running 3.0.1, so it might have already been fixed...
