Problem with VS2002

Post by mlatimer » Wed Jan 25, 2006 5:43 pm

When i tr to access the vault from the IDE.. IE, add teh curreent solution to the VAULT..

First I get a message refering to files not being on teh same drive as the solution file (mapped drive vs UNC path.... both point to same location)..

(Skip all files).. Then we log in and nothing..

ALSO..

If i set a project up first and then try to access this via the VS2002 IDE, I get teh error as displyed in the the attachment (SOAP error)...

Connecting to the server is ok from the client.

Finally - do yo have any guidlines for using Vault and Dragnet together (best practices etc).

We've seen this error before when users tried to use Vault 3.0 with VS 2002.

VS 2002 is not supported in Vault 3.x, because 3.x requires the 1.1 framework, and VS 2002 can only use the 1.0 framework.

Thanks for this.
Once I posted I started using the client software and think that with the control this gives, I am very happy!
