Reinstall Vault

What steps should I take before uninstalling / reinstalling Vault so that I don't lose my settings and data?

The file that contains your settings is the vault.config file. You will want to make a copy of that file elsewhere before uninstalling.

Also, when prompted to keep the database, click "Yes," when uninstalling and again when reinstalling. It's also a good idea to back up the database before uninstalling and reinstalling.
