Error when viewing file history using the web interface

Post by samward » Tue Nov 13, 2007 12:24 am

Hi,

We have recently migrated our sourcecode from several sourcesafe repositories into a single vault database using multiple repositories. As best I could tell, the import ran successfully.

What we have just noticed though is that when using the web interface to view the history for a files, it is returning the following error:

Unable to display history items.
Error: FailObjPathInvalid

Viewing the history of files in other repositories works, and viewing the history of files for other files in the same repository works as well. It just appears to be related to files under a particular directory.

My guess is that the problem is being cause by the directory name having a + character in it. Can any one confirm whether this is a (known) problem???

Cheers
Sam

It wasn't a known issue, but it is now. I was able to reproduce this. The web client cannot show history on a file that is in a folder with a + in the name. This affects the blame function as well.

I've logged it as a bug to be fixed in a future release.
