Access Logs?

Post by rakkar3 » Tue May 09, 2006 7:41 am

Does Vault keep access logs so I can see who logged in, when, and what they did?

The Vault server log outputs login and logout info. It is at %windir%\temp\sgvault by default.

You can get information from the Vault server log file, sgvault.log, which is in %windir%\temp\sgvault. The log needs to be in debug mode, so that it captures all logins and operations. Quiet mode only shows logins and errors. Logging level is set in the Vault Admin Tool->Server Options->Logging.

Note: these logs can get very large; monitor the size so you don't run into disk space issues.

You can also do a folder or file history query to see any modifications which have been made, by whom and when.
