Bug in 3.1.9, Undo Checkout silently fails

Post by Perry » Fri Mar 30, 2007 2:20 pm

I found a document checked out by another user. I need to undo the checkout.

I login as an Admin user. I right-click the document, which is listed as being checked out to the other user. I choose Undo Checkout. It closes, apparently succeeding. I refresh the view, and the document is still checked out to the other user.

I can only deduce that it is silently failing, and that I've found some bug, but, I'm not sure what bug.

There are no helpful error messages in the Messages pane at the bottom of the client; in fact, there are no relevant messages at all, except to tell when I refreshed the view (and tree).

Version Check: This Vault client is version 3.1.9.3798

The Admin tool closes on it's own? I don't think it supposed to do that.

Can you set your server into debug mode? That is done in the Server Options tab. Then IIS will need to be restarted. Just type iisreset at the command line. Then try your action again.

If the admin tool closes again automatically, then check your Vault Server Log for the error associated with that action and post the error here.
