Soscmd.exe Get Project fails to create empty folders.

Post by SimonJackson » Wed Jul 25, 2007 9:49 am

I am using the command line interface to SOS and one of the things I want to do is a recursive get of a complete databse tree.

It is working fine exept that I have some empty placeholder projects (and hence destination folders) on the target system. From VSS and the GUI of SOS a recursive get creates the empty folders.

The SOSCmd.exe fails to create the folders. This is a real pain for my automated systems. As a work around I am having to create dummy files in each of the placeholder folders.

Why is there a difference between the GUI and commandline of SOS???

This is an issue that we're aware of, and unfortunately, there isn't a maintenance release scheduled to address it.

However, if a maintenance release is scheduled, that bug will be fixed.

We're sorry for any inconvenience this is causing you.
