Upgrading Licenses to 4.0.4

Post by chrisc_w » Wed Oct 24, 2007 5:23 am

I have just run the Server Upgrade to 4.0.4 and now I an trying to upgrade our licenses. None of the license number appear to be upgradeable, we should have a total of 4. I think I may have not done myself any favours by failing to delete 4 out of date liceses before doing the upgrade.

What can I do to correct the problem and how ids the upgrade meant to work.

If there is no quick fiz how do I go back to version 3.5.1? Do I need to uninstall Vault server or just re install 3.5.1. Will I need to restore the backup I made just before doing the upgrade?

Thanks

Chris

I seem to have figured it out BUT...

OK I seem to have figured it out BUT we have 4 gold support contracts one of which expired in June 2007, I have no record of having renewed it and no record of a renewal reminder.

I already posted a query specifically about this. I'm gratefull that the expired support contract allowed me to upgrade however I think I still need to know how to renew it!

I have had a call from support.

I already had a call form support who suggested that I ciontact sales when the other 3 support licenses expire and roll them all into one new contract, I gather the way its organised is being changed anyway.

So I'm basically happy with that and it makes much more sense for all 4 to be on one contract!
