Integrated Security

Post by nemoby » Mon Jan 21, 2008 3:12 pm

I believe that the Vault client can be run in such a way that users are authenticated against Active Directory by setting the AD Domain for Authentication on the Advanced Server Settings page but it looks like the user still has to enter their domain password assuming a matching domain username.

Is there any way to configure the Vault client so that it uses integrated security. IE: The username of the currently logged on user and Vault doesn't require a password be entered or saved within the client.

Thanks,

The Vault Server can be configured so users can authenticate against an AD Server. The client still needs credentials to pass to the server.

You can configure a profile to save this info, but the Vault client itself does does not provide a mechanism to use the password of the currently logged in user.
