Installing Fortress on Non-Standard SQL Port

Post by scarmichael » Wed Jul 25, 2012 12:06 am

Hi

We are attempting to relocate our SQL Server to an SQL cluster - unfortunately it is not using the standard SQL Server port.

When running the Fortress Installation we get up to SQL Server Setup, but there appears to be no way to enter the port (59111)

Is there a workaround for this?

The version of Fortress is 2.0.4.18845 (Planning to upgrade after migrating)

Thanks

When you open your SQL Server Management Studio and connect to your SQL instance, what do you use for your connection? That's what you will enter into your SQL Server Instance when installing Vault.

Thanks for confirming this. We were using the correct connection.
It turns out the sqlserver user account we were using for installation had not been configured properly.
