Errors when using Vault 7 Reports

Post by lbauer » Wed Sep 25, 2013 12:47 pm

The SourceCode and Work Item Reports in Vault 7 require that the Microsoft Report Viewer 2012 Runtime Redistributable be installed on the Vault Server machine

Some systems may already have the Report Viewer 2012 Runtime.

However, if you do not see specific reports listed under the Reports menu item in the Vault 7 web client, or if you get errors when you try to run a report, you may need to install the Microsoft ReportViewer 2012 Runtime Redistributable.

Download the Microsoft ReportViewer 2012 Runtime Redistributable from the following link:

http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download ... x?id=35747

You may get an error when installing this .msi file if your machine does not have Microsoft System CLR Types for SQL Server 2012. CLR types are resources used by the Microsoft ReportViewer 2012 Runtime Redistributable.

You can download the appropriate SQLSysClrTypes here to install on your Vault Server machine:

- x86 - SQLSysClrTypes:
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID= ... lcid=0x409

- x64 - SQLSysClrTypes:
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID= ... lcid=0x409

## You will need to restart your machine for the Report Viewer to work. ##

NOTE: The CLR types for SQL Server 2012 can be installed no matter what version of SQL Server you are using with Vault. These CLR types are for the ReportViewer Runtime.
