Where to find preferences file?

Post by hinzundkunz » Thu Sep 07, 2017 7:06 pm

Hi, every time I'm installing diffmerge, I have to go to tools-> preferences and uncheck "Automatically Advance to Next Change after Apply Change Command". Is there a way that I can access the file in which this information is saved so that I can just reuse my preferences file?

On which operating system are you installing?

If on a Mac, the location is /Users/username/Library/Preferences and the file is Sourcegear DiffMerge Preferences.

If on Windows, you aren't copying a file, but instead would have to make a registry change, which won't save you any more time than setting it in the software.

After you make a change, you can find a ".SourceGear DiffMerge" file in your home directory. That has the DiffMerge settings.
