It is possible, but results vary from environment to environment.
There are two companies who offer Vault hosting that are listed on our Partners page: http://www.sourcegear.com/company/partners.html.
If you plan to set this up yourself, then best results are obtained by being able to run the installer on the server. Some hosting companies are willing to help you with that or to run the installer for you. If you aren't allowed to run the installer, then the install becomes much more complex. We don't support manual installs, but we have some hints we can give and can try to help some. This is better dealt with offline, so feel free to send an email to support at sourcegear.com (attn: Beth) with a link to this forum thread.
