Pending change set fails to track all pending changes

Just that, really... we're using Vault 2.0.4 in EMC mode rather than doing exclusive locking, and the repro case is to get a bunch of files in multiple projects and work on them for a period of time. The result is that while changed files are marked as edited in the File List window, this isn't replicated into the Pending Change Set window. This is, as you can imagine, a significant problem. If it would help, I can supply screenshots...

Any suggestions?

Could you describe what kinds of files are being missed? We've had problems in the past with documents saved by Microsoft Word being recognized. If it's many types of files, are your working folders on a network share or legacy filesystem?

Well, it's mostly .cs, .h and .cpp (and associated project goop) and this is on local NTFS 5 volumes - no networks, no FAT or FAT32...

A potential complication is that it's all running in a VM (specifically VMware Workstation 4.5.2 build 8848)
