Those #$(*$&% .vspscc files

Hi all,

I dont recall seeing before, but after someone unintentionally loaded some .vspscc files that came from another (VSS) site in our Vault DB, now they come and come and keep coming! We delete them and then VS (2003) keeps generating and trying to check them in.

My question is: Are those files valid files in a VS2003 + Vault 2 environment? If no, how can I get rid of them? Would it have any relationship to VS failing to correctly get the latest version of all the projects under a solution when we select "Get latest v" from the solution icon?

The general rule is: If Visual Studio wants to check in a state file, let it do it - trying to remove it will confuse VS, and you definitely don't want that.

The MSSCCPRJ.SCC file is not one that VS wants to checkin, but I'm honestly not sure what the .vspscc file does. If VS wants it in source control, it would be best to leave it there
