Add Files/Folders Dialog Issue

Post by yding » Mon Jan 29, 2024 12:10 pm

One of my colleagues has a strange problem with the Add Files/Folders dialog. When he right clicks a folder and select Add Files/Folder..., the Add Files/Folders dialog pops up. However, the file system tree under "Local File System" and the list under "Files to add from" were missing. He could not add any new files to the vault. The check in/check out still work. He has tried rebooting the machine, uninstalling/re-installing the client, and rebooting the server, but nothing worked. Please see screenshot in the attachment. By the way, no one else has this problem.

Thanks for your help,
Yan

Hello,

Thank you for the screenshot and all the details you provided us with!

To troubleshoot this issue a bit more, can you please have the user try the same operation on a different machine logged in as himself with the same credentials? Is it successful? I have a feeling this is probably machine specific. If everything works accordingly on a new machine, my first suggestion is for him to clear his client-side cache:

viewtopic.php?f=13&t=11513

If this doesn't help, please let us know what Vault version he has installed.

Thanks,

Tonya

I'm okay now thanks. I installed a backup and that restored the connections.
